By advertising your accommodation, shop or service on dealgarve.nl, you reach up to 26,000 Dutch (speaking) visitors per month, all interested in the Algarve. More than 90% of this number are (potential) holidaymakers who are in the preparation phase of their stay. This number of visitors is expected to only further increase as the website grows fast since its founding at the end of 2022.
The following advertising options are available:
- Advertising your accommodation, shop or activity on the relevant ‘destination’ page, activities page or featured accommodations page with a link to your website;
- Advertising your accommodation, shop or activity on mulitple blogs/pages with high visitor numbers, using an image with text that refers to your website. The number of available ad slots here is limited to 5;
- Advertising your accommodation, shop or activity on the ‘sidebar’, which is visible next to the main content on desktop view and at the bottom of the page during mobile view. Again with a link to your website. The number of ad slots here is limited to 5;
In addition to advertising space on the website, there are also additional options for advertising through other channels, including:

Pricing
To keep the process and the amount of administration as simple as possible, I only work with three terms for advertisements on the website: 3, 6 and 12 months. Towards the end of the term you will be given the option to extend.
The rates for advertising depend on the type, number and duration of the advertisement. All prices mentioned are exclusive of 23% IVA and apply to 2024.

Expectation management
The success of an advertisement depends on many factors. Although visitor numbers are high, not every visitor is immediately looking for your accommodation or company. The location of the advertisement on the website plays an important role, as does the timing.
Experience shows that most people start looking for their next summer holiday destination between November and April. As a result, the chance of a successful conversion for an accommodation booking is higher in these months than, for example, in July and August. In those months, most website visitors are in Portugal and are looking for activities or tips for a day out. So timing is essential.
To map the effectiveness of your advertisement, you will receive an overview of the number of visitors who clicked on your advertisement at the end of the term or in the meantime upon request. I can also assist you with methods to keep track of this yourself from your side, through unique landing pages or by advising/installing a website traffic tracker.
- You have a beautiful quinta in rural Algarve and rent one of the five slots of the ‘popular pages’ advertising option. In March 2024 this would have led to:
- At least 4680 potential impressions of the advertisement to visitors;
- With a conservative conversion rate of 2% (one in fifty visitors clicks), this results in 93 visitors to your website who are interested in finding a nice accommodation;
- If 10% (one in ten) actually book, this potentially results in 9 bookings.
- Your cost was €30.00 or less for advertising in March. What do you get from 9 bookings?
Although there is of course no 100% guarantee that your advertisement(s) will actually generate customers, the chance is statistically very high thanks to the niche in which this website operates, the target group and the high number of visitors.
